Recorded from two county locations but, as it feeds on gorse, it is probably more prevalent than this.

Lifestage data
Bud miner. Eggs, oviposition site unobserved. Larva makes a small hole
in a bud that isn't quite open and feeds within, this process is
repeated several times. Pupates in a fragile cocoon amongst leaf litter
